If You Give Educators the Mic - What Would They Share?

Hosted by Amelia Brown, an NKCES PD coach, Brown invites educators from the 17 Kentucky school districts as guests to talk about and provide real-life examples and expertise of reimagined learning for adults and kids. One episode with Alison Teegarden, director of academics for the Bellevue Independent School District, reflects on how applying thinking strategies and metacognition in her classroom and life has profoundly changed her practice. Another episode with special education consultant and professor Dr. Laura Clarke discusses the benefits of co-teaching, and includes links for further exploration and learning. The podcast topics themselves are relevant and interesting, and even more special - being a guest on the show helps instill the mindset amongst educators that everyone has the capacity to lead and share their story, an important component of reimagining professional learning. So far 160 listeners have tuned in, mostly from Northern Kentucky, but a few from other parts of the United States, Canada, and even Ireland. The team producing NoLimitsEDU has a goal of reaching 400 listeners per podcast.

We’ve got to be deep thinkers to grow deep thinkers.
